The Orchid Room offers the funded and non-funded 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Program, designed to support children as they prepare for a successful transition to primary school. Through a balance of play-based learning and intentional teaching experiences, children develop the skills, confidence, independence, and resilience needed for their next stage of learning.
Our qualified teacher and educators understand the unique needs of this age group and provide opportunities for children to strengthen their early literacy and numeracy skills, build positive relationships, follow routines, develop self-help skills, and become confident learners. We support each child’s individual interests and abilities while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
The program focuses on developing children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical skills, helping them become school-ready and well-equipped for the challenges and opportunities of primary school.
